Pós-Graduação em Filosofia
The Post-Graduate Program in Philosophy at UFABC was structured based on the Bachelor and Philosophy Courses in Philosophy of this university, existing since 2011.
As is known, UFABC's graduation is structured around two Interdisciplinary Bachelor's degrees, BC&T (Bachelor of Science and Technology) and BC&H (Bachelor of Science and Humanities). The specific Bachelor's and Bachelor's degrees represent a possibility of continuing the student's training after the end of the BI - in the case of Philosophy, after BC&H. This means that the UFABC student has a markedly interdisciplinary background, a fact that, as a rule, is taken into account in the structuring of Postgraduate Programs.
Thus, one of the main objectives of the Master in Philosophy at UFABC is to combine this interdisciplinary training that is characteristic of the university with the elements that are part of Philosophy research, in view of the tradition already established in this area in Brazil.
In this sense, it is expected that the master in Philosophy at UFABC will demonstrate the following skills:
(1) ability to read and rigorously analyze philosophical texts, highlighting the assumptions, theses, concepts and arguments involved;
(2) ability to elaborate a well-founded philosophical discourse, which should culminate in the writing of scientific articles and the master's dissertation;
(3) ability to reflect on current issues, using instruments of analysis and philosophical argumentation. -
