This work presents an analysis of the main barriers to entrepreneurship through an observational study of the film "The Pursuit of Happyness.", seeking to identify in the character Chris Gardner, the main entrepreneurial characteristics, in addition to listing which entrepreneurial characteristics helped to overcome the barriers in its process entrepreneur. This field of research was chosen due to the fact that entrepreneurship is a dynamic, contemporary and constantly growing theme. Methodologically, the plot was explored on a qualitative basis, based on an analysis based on the theoretical review in order to identify relevant elements. The study showed that although many entrepreneurial individuals have similar skills, they also have peculiarities that differentiate them from each other. Furthermore, even the most common barriers to entrepreneurial action can be overcome in different ways by these individuals, either by personal attributes or by the momentary situation in which they find themselves.
