Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to approximate theoretical scope of two schools of economic thought, trying to demonstrate the narrow relation between technical change and institutional change and how the interaction between them determines the economic growth path of a country. It will try to build a bridge between neo-schumpeterian and neo-institutionalist evolutionary schools, coupling up technological change to institutional change and, in this way, understanding how economic growth paths are historically defined
