Abstract

Artificial intelligence is an extremely complex topic that has been gaining ground, debate, and concern. Mitigating the risk posed by artificial intelligence should be a global priority, alongside other global risks. Artificial intelligence involves and develops not only resource- and knowledge-based organizations, but also society and the contemporary economy. However, we are witnessing a shift from human capital to artificial intelligence capital, a subject of considerable controversy across all economic sectors. Broadly and transversally, the organization should be viewed as a collection of resources, whether digital, material, or human. The objective of this essay is not to examine the full breadth and depth of AI, but rather to understand the impact artificial intelligence is having on the economic, social, and cultural spheres. Based on a literature review, this work seeks to promote constructive and positive reflection on the topic.
