Author Guidelines

Languages, File Formats and General Formatting Guidelines:

Manuscripts must be submitted in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, in .doc or .docx format, and typed with 1.5 line spacing, using Times New Roman font size 12. The left and right margins must be 3 cm, and the rules for each section, as specified below, must be followed.

Quotations and Notes:

The rules for quotations and notes must follow these specifications:

- Short quotations, up to 3 lines, should be included in the body of the text, set off only by quotation marks and followed by (Last Name, year, page).

- Long quotations, more than 3 lines, must be indented 4 cm, with single line spacing and 10-point font, without quotation marks, and followed by the reference (Last Name, year, page).

- Footnotes should be used exclusively for the author’s comments and appear at the bottom of each page, in 10-point font, justified alignment, and single line spacing.

- In the case of complete works by authors with specific citation styles standardized by other institutions or for convenience, the specific standard to be followed must be indicated in a footnote.

References:

Bibliographic references at the end of texts must follow the formats below:

- Books:

LAST NAME, First Name. Title: subtitle. Edition. Place: Publisher, year.

- Book chapters:

LAST NAME, First Name [chapter author]. Chapter title. In: LAST NAME, First Name (ed.). Book title: subtitle. Edition. Place: Publisher, year.

- Articles:

LAST NAME, First Name. Article title. Journal name, place of publication [if applicable], volume number, issue number, start-end pages, month and year.

- Theses and dissertations:

LAST NAME, First Name. Title: subtitle. Thesis/Dissertation (Ph.D./Master’s in [field]). Institution, location, year of defense.

- All references with up to three authors must have the names separated by a semicolon followed by a space (“LAST NAME, First Name; LAST NAME, First Name.”) and, if there are more than three authors, only the first author should be listed, followed by “et al.” (“LAST NAME, First Name et al.”).

- When there is more than one reference by the same author, the full name must be repeated without replacing it with dashes, periods, or any other graphic symbol.

Plataform for Submitting Manuscripts:

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s OJS platform, after registering in the system: click here.

To do so, authors must provide their full name and email address for contact purposes. It may also be necessary to submit professional information (institution, position, and academic title).
