Abstract

These interviews are part of a set of two conversations carried out within the scope of the ICOLMA Project, which aimed to understand the role of the housing movement in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. The first was conducted with Graça Xavier, coordinator of the Housing Movement of the Southeast Region and affiliated with the Union of Housing Movements of Greater São Paulo and Interior, as well as the National Union for Popular Housing. The second interview was conducted with Neuma Silva de Oliveira Cruz, secretary of the Housing Movement of the Center (MMC).

Author Biographies

Letícia Ueda Vella, Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC)

Letícia Ueda Vella is a lawyer with a degree from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (FD/USP), a specialization in human rights from the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), and a postgraduate degree in violence prevention and response from the Santa Casa Medical School. She is a master’s student in Territorial Planning and Management at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) and is dedicated to researching the impact of the pandemic on public policies aimed at women experiencing violence.
