The science and technology policy and its relationship with local innovative dynamics (Argentina, 1960-2005)

The aim of this paper is to undertake a critical examination of the explicit policies of science, technology in Argentina and their impact on local innovative dynamics over four decades (1960-2005). From the construction of a chronology that relate to the initiatives of the explicit policy of Science and Technology (PCT) in Argentina (decision-making process, proposals, actions and results) with heterogeneous elements (eg, business strategies , sectorial performances, other public policies) associated with its design and implementation, it is possible to advance the understanding of the complex relationship between political policy and the dynamic innovative local, their scope and limitations.
