Abstract

It is noticeable that companies apply the concept of critical competencies correctly to perform a deep and solid diagnosis of the organizations, making it easier reaching decisions. The process to define a strategy can be based on two different perspectives: on the competitive strategy and on the company resources. The knowledge and apprenticeship as a source of competitive advantage have been discussed in the academic surroundings. Encouraging the creation of knowledge by using ways of capturing, storing, and spreading the facts experienced in the organization may contribute so that the employees and managers can use of apprenticeship experiences to solve daily problems.
