The main concern of this paper is to identify consolidated industrial clusters for employment in Goiás, searching for new potentialities and activities for workers. It describes the characteristics of the employment of these potential industries to understand which kind of needs there are in the labor market. The paper analyzes the local and regional development associated with those industries, embracing regional economics perspectives. Theoretical references come from authors who consider the importance of endogenous development in the formation of clusters, which are able to streamline the labor-market and sectorial and spatial competitiveness, thus contributing to regional development. RAIS database for the years 2006 and 2013 are used to generate geographic concentration indicators (Location Quotient and Locational Gini Coefficient). They are calculated considering the industrial sectors of the 246 municipalities, grouped in eighteen geographic micro-regions by IBGE. Five industrial clusters were found. Three potential clusters (biofuels, textile, and food & beverage industries) and two industrial centers had been established (transport equipment industry and pharmaceutical industry). All clusters are located in the South-Central region of the state, more developed. Most of the workers in those clusters have low incomes and low-skills, they are men and young (from 18 to 24 years, from 25 to 29 years, and from 30 to 39 years)
